Is your business growing faster than the way it runs?
More people, more managers, more decisions, more risk. The informal ways of working that got you here start to strain. Founder-led businesses feel it before they can name it.
- Something’s blocking delivery and nobody can name it.
- Headcount has doubled. The way you run hasn’t.
- Performance is uneven and the cause is hard to pin down.
- Decisions that used to be obvious now land on your desk.
- Talented people are waiting on you for direction.
- A compliance risk is close enough to worry about.
Your business has grown.
The way it runs hasn’t.
It’s not a strategy problem. It’s a system problem. And it can be fixed.
That’s where we come in.
People foundations that don’t depend on individual heroics.
Not a report. Not a call centre. Clear ways of working your team understand, and the confidence they’ll hold as you grow.
See where you standClarity on what’s really getting in the way.
Evidence, not opinion, on how your people are really getting work done and where it’s catching.
Managers who manage.
Clear expectations, practical support and the confidence to deal with things early.
Less held at the top.
Decisions, processes and people work that no longer have to route through you.
HR handled properly.
Current policies, a dedicated expert and people operations that run without the admin, looking ahead so issues are dealt with before they land on you.
People foundations that hold as you grow.
Ways of working that keep pace as headcount, complexity and expectations rise.
Validate. Build. Run.
We don’t decide the solution before we understand what’s really happening.
The right support at the right level. Not a retainer when you need a fix. Not a fix when you need a partner. We’ll never suggest something that doesn’t reflect where you are.

- A grievance in your inbox.
- A performance issue that can’t wait.
- Absence becoming a pattern.
- A difficult conversation you’re putting off.
- A sudden resignation.
- A dismissal you need to get right.
- An employee relations issue with heat in it.
- An employment-law question you can’t answer with confidence.
- The doubt that something wasn’t handled properly.
Employment law is changing.
Are you keeping up?
The Employment Rights Act 2025 is changing employers’ responsibilities at an unprecedented rate, with further changes being introduced through 2026 and 2027. Keeping up isn’t just knowing the law. It’s knowing what needs to change in your policies, processes, records and management practice, and understanding the consequences you might face if that doesn’t happen, so you can prioritise effectively.
How confident are you in your HR compliance? Five minutes tells you where your people and employment risks sit before they become a problem. And Grow™ keeps your policies, operations and records solid as the law moves.

We don’t advise from the sidelines.
We build from the inside.
Most people and culture work fails in the gap between diagnosis and implementation. The consultant leaves. The report gathers dust. Nothing changes. We close that gap.
- You’ve probably met the alternatives.
- The helpline with the five-year contract.
A call centre. Advice from whoever picks up, so generic you don’t know what to actually do with it. A contract you can’t get out of.
- The HR consultant with the deck.
A report, a workshop, an open-ended engagement with the never-ending invoices.
- HR that waits for the phone to ring.
You have to know what you don’t know. They only respond to what you ask. Your monthly direct debit continues with no value realised.
- How we work instead.
-
We deliver in sprints.
Not Agile because it’s fashionable. Not sprints because they sound fast. Fixed scope, defined outputs and a clear end point, applied to everything we do, whether or not a sprint is what you buy.
-
We hold ongoing context.
You don’t start from zero every time. We stay close enough to understand your business, your strategy and your team, so we can identify what’s in the way of your goals.
-
We’re proactive.
We don’t wait for the phone to ring. We look ahead, bring recommendations and help you deal with what’s coming next.
-
We make things, not recommendations.
Every engagement ends with something real. Not a report. Not generic advice you could have googled. Something you and your team can use to deliver your business strategy.
-
We go to the hard places.
Most consultants prioritise the next sale over telling you things you might need to hear. We go toward the difficult things and tell the truth early, clearly and with care.
-
We build independence.
Our clients come back because the work works, not because we made them need us. If it can be automated, we automate it. If your team can own it, we build it so they can.
Rapid System Read™
Our methodology reads how your business really runs.
Proprietary, and developed over years with expert input and research. We separate what people say from what the evidence supports, and the state of the system from our confidence in the finding. That makes the Rapid System Read™ a people and culture diagnostic, not a standard HR audit or a culture survey.
Load
How much is being asked of people, and what they’ve got to do it with.
- Why it matters
- When demands outrun resources, effort goes up and output goes down. Burnout is a system fault, not a personal one.
- What you get
- Where the pressure is really landing, and what to take off.
- The question we ask
- Who’s carrying more than the org chart says?
Grounded in: Job Demands–Resources model (Bakker & Demerouti)
Clarity
Whether people know what’s expected, what good looks like and who decides.
- Why it matters
- Ambiguity is the quiet tax on delivery. It’s the first question Gallup asks for a reason.
- What you get
- The roles and decisions that need defining, in priority order.
- The question we ask
- If you asked five people what “done†means, how many answers would you get?
Grounded in: Gallup Q12; role ambiguity research (Kahn et al.)
Management
How managers actually manage, day to day.
- Why it matters
- Managers explain most of the difference in engagement between teams. Google’s Project Oxygen found the same thing the hard way.
- What you get
- What your managers need to do less of, more of and differently.
- The question we ask
- Who was promoted for being good at the job, then left to work out the rest?
Grounded in: Gallup State of the Global Workplace; Google Project Oxygen
Voice
Whether people speak up, and whether anything happens when they do.
- Why it matters
- Problems are known long before they’re named. Voice is how your business finds out.
- What you get
- Where the signal is stuck, and how to unblock it.
- The question we ask
- What does everyone know that nobody’s said in a meeting?
Grounded in: Employee voice research (Morrison; Detert & Burris)
Safety
Whether it’s safe to take a risk, ask a question or admit a mistake.
- Why it matters
- Psychological safety was the strongest predictor of team performance in Google’s Project Aristotle.
- What you get
- The behaviours holding candour back, and the ones to protect.
- The question we ask
- When did someone last say “I don’t know†in your leadership meeting?
Grounded in: Edmondson (1999); Google Project Aristotle
Deal
The unwritten agreement about what people give and what they get back.
- Why it matters
- When the deal breaks, people don’t complain. They quietly recalculate.
- What you get
- Where expectations have drifted, before it shows up as resignations.
- The question we ask
- What did you promise people when they joined that’s changed since?
Grounded in: Psychological contract theory (Rousseau)
How we move from signal to action
- 01 Signal Something’s not right.
- 02 Evidence What the data and the people actually say.
- 03 Validation Is it true, or just felt?
- 04 Confidence How sure we are, made visible.
- 05 Priority What matters most, first.
- 06 Action A plan you can act on.
How a build gets delivered.
Every sprint and project runs the same way, whatever we’re building.
- Scope Fixed scope, defined outputs and a clear definition of done, agreed before we start.
- Build Built from the inside, with the people who’ll use it.
- Test Checked against the real work, not signed off in a slide deck.
- Embed Your team learns to run it while we’re still in the room.
- Hand over Yours to own. If your team can run it, we’ve built it so they can.
The work has to change something.
Our impact speaks for itself. Here’s what it looked like inside two businesses, and what the people who hired us say.

Who we work with.
Wherever you are on the growth curve, the same thing is true: the way you run has to keep up with the plan.
Startups and scale-ups
The team is growing faster than the way you manage people. Roles blur, decisions stall and the founders are still in every conversation.
Founder-led businesses
Too much is still held at the top, and it’s starting to show. The business can only move as fast as you can answer the question.
Growing professional services
Headcount, complexity and expectations are all increasing at once. Utilisation, quality and culture start pulling in different directions.
Technology and knowledge businesses
The operating model has to keep pace with the product. Talented people are waiting on direction, and the best ones won’t wait long.

What does Culture Craft do?
Culture Craft is the people and culture partner for growing businesses whose organisation has outgrown the way it runs. We find what is getting in the way, build what is missing and keep the people side running day to day, so your team can perform and you can focus on growing the business.
Our support can include diagnosing what needs attention, building people systems and processes, providing ongoing HR support, embedding senior HR leadership, and handling complex or sensitive people issues.
Is Culture Craft an outsourced HR provider?
Culture Craft provides ongoing HR support, but it is more than a traditional outsourced HR provider. The work connects the practical requirements of employing people with the wider conditions that affect how effectively a business operates.
Depending on what the business needs, support can come through an HR subscription, an Embedded Partnership, focused project work or a Rapid System Read™. The right route depends on what is happening in the business and what needs attention first.
When should a growing business get HR support?
A business may need structured HR support when people issues are taking up too much leadership time, managers are handling situations inconsistently, policies and processes have not kept pace with growth, or there is uncertainty about whether the people side is protecting the business.
There is no need to wait until something goes seriously wrong. Culture Craft can help identify what needs attention, decide what to prioritise and put the right level of support in place.
How do we know what HR support our business needs?
If it is not clear whether the business needs ongoing HR support, better processes, senior HR leadership or help with a specific issue, the Rapid System Read™ is designed to establish what is happening and where to focus first.
It is a four-week diagnostic sprint that looks at HR compliance foundations and the six conditions that influence team performance. The outcome is a scorecard, an insight report and a plan for the right work, in the right order.
Should we outsource HR or hire an internal HR person?
The right option depends on the complexity of the people needs, the level of support required and where the business is heading next. Outsourced or fractional HR support can provide experienced advice and practical delivery without the cost or commitment of a full-time hire, while an internal HR role may become appropriate as the business grows and needs dedicated capability.
Culture Craft can help work out which route makes sense, whether that is a subscription, an Embedded Partnership, focused project support or building internal capability.
What is the difference between Grow™, an Embedded Partnership and project support?
Grow™ is an ongoing HR subscription for businesses that need practical support, current policies, a dedicated HR expert and an HR system to put people processes into practice.
An Embedded Partnership provides senior HR leadership as part of the team, backed by a specialist delivery team. Project support is suitable when there is a defined piece of work to deliver, such as building or improving specific people processes.
If it is unclear which option fits, the Rapid System Read™ can help establish what the business needs next.
Can Culture Craft help with a difficult employee situation?
Yes. Culture Craft can provide fair, confidential and independent support when a complaint, conflict, investigation or employee exit lands on your desk.
The issue is scoped first, followed by a process aligned to Acas guidance and the relevant Code of Practice, with clear findings or a way forward so decisions can be made with confidence.
What is the Culture Craft OS™?
The Culture Craft OS™ is a research-backed People Operating System. It brings together six conditions that influence how people work and teams perform: Load, Clarity, Management, Safety, Voice and Deal.
It is not a standalone employee survey or a generic culture framework. It is used to understand how a business operates, identify what needs to change and determine the right support.
Ready to build the people foundations your growth depends on?
